Description
This book covers points of history and wildlife in western Arizona. Oatman, Arizona, a small mining town, had a population of 10,000 in 1916. When the U.S. entered WWI, most miners left to join the service. Many had burros to help with the mining. When the miners left, they turned their animals loose to roam the desert and forage for themselves. The book incorporates several species of wildlife in the area (from publisher).
